Communication

There is more than one way to stay connected in the Highfields’ Community. We are proud of our warm and professional relationships with children, families and the wider community. We are committed to ensuring all members of our school community know our door is always open and that no question is too small or silly to ask. Your child’s teacher is never more than a phone call away and the school office is open every day to provide you with a warm and informative point of contact point.

Beyond our open-door policy, we have several systems in place that position our value for open, communicative and respectful relationships at the centre of the Highfields’ Experience. For example, parent-teacher meetings are held at different times during the school year to give parents and educators the opportunity to meet around the goals for each child, face to face. Information nights, held for various purposes, also offer parents direct contact and connection with the life of the school.

In all conversations and interactions our goal is to both listen and inform. We see parents as our partners and strongly believe that open, honest, respectful and regular communication, fostered and facilitated across the school community, is the key to ensuring children, and adults, will flourish with their learning and in their relationships. We look forward to talking with you soon!
