Specialists in Early Learning

We take great care in the selection of our staff to ensure the best quality experiences for our children.

The School is staffed by experienced and highly qualified educators and assistants who are dedicated and committed to providing a secure and challenging learning environment which is appropriate, interesting and imaginative.

In the Preschool, our team includes five university qualified early childhood educators and seven child care workers. Two or more staff members are with each group of children throughout the day. Our staff: child ratio ensures we can provide a rich and engaging program for every child and ensures the children are always appropriately supported and supervised.

Six full-time university qualified teachers and three teaching assistants make up the K-2 teaching team, with two teachers assigned at each year level as collaborative teaching partnership.

Our Learning Enrichment and Support team add value to the programs in K-2 through both in class support and by offering additional programs outside the classroom that are designed to extend children’s learning opportunities and to give children additional support with their learning, as needed.

Our wider specialist team includes a Teacher Librarian, an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Teacher, a Music Educator and a Sports Teacher. All three of these educators combine their teaching qualifications and experience with a passion for a niche area of the curriculum. This ensures our students have the best opportunities to stretch themselves in these areas.

All staff meet regularly for professional discussion, planning and programming. Our teams are regular given opportunities to extend themselves. Professional learning and development is fostered through both internal training and staff attendance at externally organised workshops and conferences. The number of our teachers who choose to go on to further study is evidence of our educator’s strong commitment to lifelong learning. Several of our teaching members have achieved or are working towards gaining their Masters in Education. Each staff member holds a current first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis certificate and receives child protection training annually.
