Information & Communication Technology (ICT)

Our ICT program offers children weekly lessons with a dedicated, specialist ICT educator and integrator. The lab has been designed with room for K-2 class groups to work alongside one another, using technology as a tool to support their learning. The lab is equipped with computers, iPads, an interactive whiteboard and a range of other robotic and coding equipment – all designed to inspire and engage young learners. ICT sessions at Highfields provide a wonderful opportunity for Preschool to Year 2 students to enrich their learning.

The Library

Please come and make yourself welcome in our beautiful library, housed in the lower level of McDermott Place. It is a favourite place in the school, for adults and children alike. Whether you’re hunting for the latest information about dinosaurs, or you just want a quiet place to read a book, the library is the place to be. Weekly library lessons are a highlight of the school week, enjoyed by our students from 3 Day Preschool to Year 2. Children borrow books to take home every week and are introduced to a wide range of literary genres over their time at the school. Parents are also invited to access the library collection or reference books from our parent bookshelf.
